This week, our team and I got a lot more accomplished than we have had in the past couple of weeks. I am relieved to see that progress has been made in our design. We finally got Processing working so we have some working code that we will be building off from. If it wasn't for the mobile team, we would not have been able to make it work because of some Java files that complicated our attempt to make it work. I was able to determine what devices will go on what microcontroller and what microcontrollers we will be using. I created a wiring diagram (shown below) using a program called Fritzing.
We have about six weeks left and our team has to step it to finish the coding part of the project, creating the necessary components for a prototype, writing the report, and testing our design. I am confident that if we keep this pace, we will meet our deadlines. Even though we currently have presentations and papers coming up, I am confident that we will get the job done. This coming week, we have presentations and some papers but we will be making significant progress in our work. We each have assignments and we will get them done by the deadlines we have created for ourselves. I will be working on deciphering the code and deciding what code that was generated by the summer Korean team will be useful for our design. I will also be making a rough skeleton of our electronics so that we can easily modify any devices without having to take it apart from the podcar.
